Shrewsbury Lodge School
Shrewsbury Lodge School is an independent day school for boys and girls aged from three to seven years. It was founded in 1912 as Milbourne Lodge Junior School and became an educational trust, administered by a Board of Governors in 1986. In 2009 Milbourne Lodge Junior School merged with Shrewsbury House and became Shrewsbury Lodge.
At Shrewsbury Lodge the children are taught in small classes by well qualified and dedicated teachers. The curriculum is both broad and modern, and is designed to enable all children to achieve their full potential.
The children are provided with a solid grounding in the basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics. Thanks to our excellent facilities and specialist staff the children are given opportunities to develop their skills across all areas of the curriculum and to represent the school in both sporting and musical events.
It is a priority at Shrewsbury Lodge to ensure high quality pastoral care. We welcome children from all faiths, and they learn to respect and care for each other and the world around them.
Shrewsbury Lodge ensures children are given the grounding necessary to prepare them for their next schools. We work closely with parents to help secure the right school for their child. Many choose to go onto Shrewsbury House and we have also sent children to Aldro, Colet Court, Cranmore, Danes Hill, Feltonfleet, Guildford High, Kingswood House, King’s College Wimbledon, Lady Eleanor Holles, Lanesborough, Milbourne Lodge School, Notre Dame, Parkside and Rowan.
